BALI: Become One With Nature at Nau Villas Ubud

It is 4:30am and I am sitting outside in my private villa listening to running river downstream. Looking up above, the stars and moon are glistening in the beautiful clear sky. I am surrounded by the soothing sound of crickets, frogs and rushing water, what more could I ask for?

Although I have never been here before, it feels like home away from home. Last week, whilst planning this last minute getaway, I pictured myself sitting right here, surrounded by lush greens, peace and tranquility, ready to share my story with the world. This is a trip with a purpose: Relax, Rejuvenate and Write 🙂

Whilst usually I seek accommodation in a resort-style environment that is fully equipped with a good gym, sauna and spa facilities, and plenty of walking tracks, I chose the opposite this time. I needed a place to be secluded with my own thoughts, and surrounded by nature. A place where could get back to me, where I could have time and space to reconnect with my inner self. This place, Nau Villa Ubud, is just perfect.

Warm Welcome

Upon arrival at Nau Villas Ubud, friendly staff with warm smiles greeted me and served a delicious Nau Fresh drink; a mixture of crushed mint leaves, ginger, lime and honey. The staff here are extremely friendly, and their smiles really are priceless. The entire team here seem so happy, so content, and so pleased. It made me realise that serving others truly is a way to happiness. And that is the reason why I am here, I am starting to write my own book, so that I can share my gift with the world, and help others along the way of finding health and happiness.

After a refreshing drink, staff escorted me to a private pool villa. This complex currently contains 10 villas, and this is a luxury villa based at the bottom of the resort, near the river.

Whether you are sunbathing by the pool, relaxing in the hot tub or sleeping in a very comfortable bed, the soothing sound of running water nearby will certainly take your stress away.

Getting back to nature is exactly what I wanted to do to reconnect with myself. We are often so distracted by impulses from the outside that we do not listen to our inner voice. If you are seeking a quiet, beautiful, relaxing place to spend a few days, Nau Villas Ubud is the place to be.

Accommodation at Nau Villas Ubud

The villa is absolutely beautiful. It is very private, very luxurious, and truly has everything you need, from coffee and tea making facilities to shampoo and conditioner in the beautiful outdoor shower.

Outside on the deck by the pool are two lounge chairs and a beautiful balinese umbrella. The beautifully manicured garden is equipped with a table and chairs. The pool area is beautifully lit with downlights and looks out over green lush rice fields. The bath tub and shower are outside which gives an amazing feel.

Floating Breakfast at Nau Villas Ubud

This place is popular for it’s stunning floating breakfast. Certainly not something to miss out on! Not only does it look incredible, the food tastes absolutely amazing!

Onsite Restaurant

The restaurant is located at the top of the property offers an abundance of fresh and local foods. From floating breakfasts served in the pool at your villa, to traditional Indonesian meals, to grilled salmon and yummy dessert. Whether you dine at the tiny restaurant that only has 6 tables, or order room service, the food and service is amazing!

Final Thoughts

These villas are ideal if you are seeking peace and serenity, in a secluded area, surrounded by nature. No distractions, no screaming children by the pool, and time to reconnect with you.

However if you’re looking for lots of activities to do onsite, or an onsite gym, this isn’t really suitable. There is a free shuttle bus that takes you into town and there are plenty stops along the way such as a coffee plantation with plenty instagram worthy photo spots.

This is just what I needed. Thank you to the team at Nau Villas Ubud you made my stay amazing!
