My Favourite Netflix Health Documentaries to Stream Right Now

I don’t have the standard TV connection at home so anything like news, soap series or dramas are off the menu for me.

Instead I like to watch interesting documentaries and since some of us have got some more time on our hands during COVID-19 lockdown, I’ve collected some great documentaries that you can stream right now!

The below list is a collection of my favourite health documentaries that are available on Netflix right now. So If you’re keen to learn something new, or get some insight into some of the most talked about documentaries and shows, tune in below!

1. Human Nature 2019

Human Nature is a 2019 documentary film directed by Adam Bolt. This documentary is a definite eye opener, in which the audience is taken on a journey about DNA, human genetics and the power of the discovery of CRISPR. Labelled as “the biggest biological discovery in the 21s century” this is a must watch if you’re interested in health, wellbeing and biohacking and health sciences. Although this one is a little long to watch (94 minutes) it is definitely one I have recommended to my friends.

It took me a while to get into this documentary, but I’m glad I watched it as it

6. The Game Changers 2018

Surely you’ve heard of this documentary about vegan bodybuilders?

If you haven’t the short of it is – bodybuilders can be vegan, and if we eat vegan we can be just as healthy….. At least that’s what the viewpoint of this documentary is.

What’s your opinion? Vegan? Not vegan?

8. Rotten 2019

This two season series sheds light on how our food supply chain and really shows you things we don’t think about or take for granted. A great eye opener and good piece of education, although remember common sense.

9. Tony Robbins: I am not your guru

Definitely an eye opener about the world famous Tony Robbins.

I’ve been a fan of Tony ever since I started with self development and personal growth and having learned so much from Tony – I feel this is a must watch.

However there has been quite some controversy about the way Tony coaches people at his event as some cases are quite confrontation. At the very start of this documentary Tony states that depression of one of his pupils linked to the shoes he’s wearing… Another confrontational case is that he tells a female pupil to break up with her boyfriend in public at the even.

It’s definitely an interesting documentary to watch!

10. Broken 2019 Netflix Documentary Series

What is the true price of the products you buy? There is a price tag attached to the low price of products that we pay.

This documentary series brings to light what people would do to make a quick dollar. Whether it’s make up, furniture of any other consumer good – it’s plastic.

As a consumer – it’s our responsibility to make a change – or is it?

The Take Away

Whether you’re interested in health, fitness or learning about ways to optimise your wellbeing, I’m certain that at least one of these documentaries will be helpful and entertaining in some way.

Personally I love watching inspirational movies about legendary athletes such as Usain Bolt (there is a documentary available on Apple called BOLT) and from the above list my favourite is definitely Ronnie Coleman the King, and I thoroughly enjoyed Human Nature because of it’s science backed findings.

Happy Watching!
